Villagers said locking the well is nothing but a bid to ensure that no one draws more than the fixed quantity of water in a day. MYSURU: The locked up ‘open’ well of Medaganane village in Hanur taluk of Chamarajanagar district sums up the summer anxieties of 30 Soliga families. “Some villagers were drawing water for the cattle. The traditional village well is their only source of drinking water.Medaganane village, 7km from MM Hills temple, sits in the middle of a forest.
