Five booked for fraudulently selling neighbor’s plot

NAGPUR: Tehsil police have booked five persons of a family for fraudulently selling neighbor’s plot to a builder. Meanwhile, one Bawangade, the real owner of the plot, signed a deal with another person to sell his plot. Ramteke then started construction on the said plot by investing Rs 17 lakh. However, Bawangade was shocked to see construction work going on in his plot. Tehsil police have registered a case in this regard under relevant sections and started further investigation.

Tehsil police have registered a case in this regard under relevant sections and started further investigation. The complainant, Anirudh Ramteke (28), is a builder and a resident of New Indora, Punjabi Line, mentioned in his complaint that Narendra Bhati (57), Manohar Bhati (51), Purshottam Bhati (49), Sushila Parmar (54) and Arvind Bhati (47) sold him a plot near Nanga Putla at Itwari in 2014 claiming that it belonged to them. Ramteke then started construction on the said plot by investing Rs 17 lakh. Meanwhile, one Bawangade, the real owner of the plot, signed a deal with another person to sell his plot. However, Bawangade was shocked to see construction work going on in his plot. He learnt about the fraud and then approached the police.
