Nagpur: Body of an 11-year-old boy who had gone missing on Saturday, was found in a pond near Madhav Nagar under MIDC police station on Sunday morning. Police had earlier registered a case of kidnapping (as per the orders of Supreme Court) after the mother of deceased reported her son missing on Saturday.Abhishek alias Golu Kale, a resident of Isasani and a student of Class VII, had come from school on Saturday and immediately left home after dropping off his bag. However, he did not return till night following which a worried mother approached MIDC police. Family and neighbours of Golu’s mother Rajkanya searched for him but could not find him.On Sunday morning, a passer-by noticed the body and called police. They rushed to the spot and took the body out.Police said said the boy was not wearing anything except undergarments indicating he may have gone for a swim in the pond and drowned there. Cops did not find his clothes too. It is learnt Golu used to go swimming at the pond with his friends. MIDC police have registered a case of accidental death and are probing further.
