3 women held with illegal liquor in Sanghmitra Exp

Nagpur: The Railways Protection Force (RPF), under its ongoing drive against illegal trafficking of liquor, arrested three women among four people from 12296 Sanghmitra Express on Wednesday. The RPF seized 618 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 20,150 from the four persons and in one more action. As per information, when Sanghmitra Express arrived at platform number two, the RPF team noticed the three women in S-9 coach in suspected position. When the RPF team checked their bags, they found 430 bottles of liquor in it. The RPF team led by Senior DSC Satija included PI Wankhede, API SP Singh, SM Gajbhiye, Vikas Sharma, Vivek Kanojia, Deepak Pawar, Santosh Patel, Anees Khan, and Arjun Patole.

All the four accused are residents of Chandrapur and were identified as Vaishali Jhadbuke (35), Vimal Bhagat (60), Sunita Kale (54), and Dayanand Salve (55). As per information, when Sanghmitra Express arrived at platform number two, the RPF team noticed the three women in S-9 coach in suspected position. The three women got scared on questioning. When the RPF team checked their bags, they found 430 bottles of liquor in it. Dayanand Salve was arrested from S-2 coach with 125 bottles of liquor. In another seizure, the RPF recovered an unclaimed bag with 63 bottles of liquor from platform number two. The RPF also recovered gutkha worth Rs 2,200 that was kept stuffed in a bag under a berth in S-7 coach of the same train. When nobody claimed the bag, the team checked it and found 32 packets of gutkha in it. The RPF team led by Senior DSC Satija included PI Wankhede, API SP Singh, SM Gajbhiye, Vikas Sharma, Vivek Kanojia, Deepak Pawar, Santosh Patel, Anees Khan, and Arjun Patole. The seized, material was handed over to the Excise department.
