Nagpur: The department of Vedang Jyotish of the Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek and Yoga-Samskrutham University (YSU), Florida, USA, jointly organized a two-day international seminar on ‘Jyotish and Vastu Shastra — A practical approach’ was inaugurated at a city hotel, Laxmi Nagar, on Saturday.The seminar that saw delegates from all over the country, concluded on Sunday. Other dignitaries included Krishnakumar Pandey, dean of ancient Indian sciences and humanities, KKSU and Devi Prasad Tripathi, professor of Jyotisha and Vastu from Lal Bahadur Shastri College, New Delhi.Chande, in his address, he urged the participants to make efforts to keep up the reputation of Jyotishya Shastra. Various topics including astrology as a tool for career guidance and health issues, the relation between astrology and yoga, aspects of Vastu Shastra etc were covered.A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the two universities as well as the launch of KKSU’s newsletter took place on the occasion.The vice-chancellor of YSU, Florida, BVK Shastry was the keynote speaker and former vice-chancellor of KKSU Pankaj Chande, vice-chancellor of GH Raisoni Rajan Welukar were the special guests.Vice-chancellor of KKSU Shrinivasa Varakhedi presided over.
