Nagpur: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated a book titled ‘Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah’ containing collection of articles by city police chief BK Upadhyay , at Police Gymkhana on Sunday. The CM suggested police personnel should read the book to help overcome negativity associated with their work and bring more positivity in their services.Fadnavis underlined the fact that police personnel are prone to become insensitive due to ever growing stress of work, responsibilities, challenges and constant scrutiny by society.Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari and district guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule were also present at the function.“Cops should focus on ridding a bad man of his evilness and not the man himself. One can render positive vibe and happiness if such wisdoms are nurtured within,” the CM said.The book has a collection of around 60 articles published over a period of four years in a daily newspaper. The CM emphasized that the book includes various fascinating aspects about mind management, including certain facts like significance of ‘0’.Gadkari also hailed Upadhyay who has always focused on reforming anti-social elements rather than relying on punitive measures to corner them.Upadhyay, whose family members including mother Shantidevi was present at the function, spoke about the two pillars of wisdom which were the driving forces behind the articles. “Vasudaiva Kutumbakam or the world is a nest and importance of mind management are the two ideologies which bind the articles as a theme on most occasions,” he said.
