Nagpur: District and Additional Sessions judge VG Raghuvanshi sentenced one Manoj Sukhre (20) to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs2,000on Friday for raping a four-year-old, with whom he also had forced unnatural sex. The prosecution was represented by Additional Public Prosecutor Varsha Gawli. Sukhre was arrested by Mouda police station following a complaint lodged by the mother of the survivor.Police had invoked sections 376 (2) (1) for rape and 377 for unnatural sex of Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Sukhre. He was also booked under relevant sections under Protection of children from sexual offences POCSO) Act 2012.The charge sheet in the case was filed by Sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Ishwar Katkade.
