On Monday, Rahul tweeted hailing Gadkari as “only one in BJP with guts”. NAGPUR: Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari’s latest remark that “one who cannot look after home and family cannot manage party and country’s affairs”, has been lapped up by none other than Congress president Rahul Gandhi . Gadkari distanced himself from it, but by some strange coincidence Gadkari with his arms around Tiwari’s neck was all over social media this Sunday. Soon after the BJP debacle in state elections of Chhatisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, Gadkari had said the party leadership should own responsibility for the loss in elections. On Monday, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “Gadkariji compliments. In a swift reply, Gadkari said, “Don’t need certificate of courage from you.”This is the third time that remarks made by Gadkari are being seen as political innuendos attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi or party president Amit Shah.

NAGPUR: Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari’s latest remark that “one who cannot look after home and family cannot manage party and country’s affairs”, has been lapped up by none other than Congress president Rahul Gandhi . On Monday, Rahul tweeted hailing Gadkari as “only one in BJP with guts”. In a swift reply, Gadkari said, “Don’t need certificate of courage from you.”This is the third time that remarks made by Gadkari are being seen as political innuendos attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi or party president Amit Shah. Gadkari has vehemently denied nursing ambitions of replacing Modi as PM and after every such remark blamed the media for twisting and quoting him out of context.Addressing a gathering of former ABVP workers here, Gadkari said that party workers should fulfil their domestic responsibilities first because one who cannot do that “cannot manage the country”.“I meet many people who say we want to devote lives for the BJP, for the country. I asked one such person what do you do, and who are there in your family. He said I have closed my shop as it was not doing well and that he had wife and children at home,” said Gadkari.“I told him to first take care of your home because one who cannot manage his home cannot manage the country. Hence, first manage your home and look after your children properly, then work for the party and the country,” Gadkari recounted.Last week at a function in Mumbai, Gadkari had hit headlines when he said that people “bash you up if you fail to fulfil tall promises”. Soon after the BJP debacle in state elections of Chhatisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, Gadkari had said the party leadership should own responsibility for the loss in elections. On Monday, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, “Gadkariji compliments. You are only one in BJP with guts. Please also comment on 1. Rafale scam and Anil Ambani, 2. Farmers distress, 3. Destruction of institutions.” On this Gadkari tweeted, “Need no certificate of courage from you.”A month ago, farm activist and state task force leader (with ministerial rank) Kishore Tiwari had said that if the BJP wanted to win next elections it should project Gadkari as next PM. Gadkari distanced himself from it, but by some strange coincidence Gadkari with his arms around Tiwari’s neck was all over social media this Sunday.
