Bondre had initially claimed to have been allegedly manhandled by Alexander and Jaiswal causing injuries. Alexander and Jaiswal were booked under Indian penal code (IPC) 385 for extortion and 323 for assault.Though the FIR was filed after much drama, Bondre had opted to file an affidavit withdrawing his grievances against Alexander and Jaiswal. Later, he backtracked claiming he had filed the complaint under the influence of alcohol and had sustained injuries after a fall at a liquor bar.The court underlined the fact that a compromise has already been reached.The applicants were represented by counsel RK Tiwari, while additional public prosecutor JY Ghurde was from the prosecution side. Nagpur: The Nagpur bench of the Bombay high court quashed a first information report ( FIR ) filed at Ganeshpeth police station following a ruckus outside the bungalow of city police chief BK Upadhyay in Civil Lines in the wee hours of January 7.The bench of Justice PN Deshmukh and Justice Rohit Deo invoked it’s inherent power to end litigation following a joint application by the complainant Anand Bondre and two of the accused Hrudayraj Alexander and Manish Jaiswal.
