Six goons attack, loot tea vendor in Nandanvan over bill money

Nagpur: A group of six goons attacked a roadside tea vendor with iron rod and sword and robbed him of his gold chain and cash collectively worth Rs 59,000. After serving them tea, Shailesh asked for bill money from the accused. Later, the accused forcibly snatched Shailesh’s gold chain, silver bracelet and Rs 14,000 from cash counter collectively worth Rs 59,000 and fled the spot. The accused, instead of paying the tea bill, picked quarrel with Shailesh and told him that they are goons of the area and no money should be demanded from them.

Nagpur: A group of six goons attacked a roadside tea vendor with iron rod and sword and robbed him of his gold chain and cash collectively worth Rs 59,000. The victim tea vendor had demanded bill payment from the goons. The incident took place in Nandanvan area here on Sunday night. After the attack and looting, the goons fled the spot and are being hunted by cops. The complainant, Shailesh Dnyaneshwar Kedar (32), resident of Itwari High School, near Darodkar Sqaure, runs a tea and food stall in Venkatesh Colony in Nandanvan area. On Sunday around 9.30 pm, Shailesh and his two aides Ravi Hedau and Adarsh Satpute were serving tean and Maggie to customers. The six accused criminals namely Bhola, Ganesh Naik, Akib alias Sonu, Piyush and their two unidentified accomplices came and ordered tea. After serving them tea, Shailesh asked for bill money from the accused. The accused, instead of paying the tea bill, picked quarrel with Shailesh and told him that they are goons of the area and no money should be demanded from them. As the wordy duel was going on, the accused attacked Shailesh with iron rod, whipped out a sword and threatened to kill him. Later, the accused forcibly snatched Shailesh’s gold chain, silver bracelet and Rs 14,000 from cash counter collectively worth Rs 59,000 and fled the spot. Nandanvan PSI Bambole, acting on complaint of Shailesh, booked the six goons under Sections 395, 397 of the IPC and launched a search to nab them.
