I think I fared well, except for the second question about chromosomes.” “Any question can be asked in correlation with the syllabus and it would not be seen as an error or an outside question. Nagpur: One of the questions in second science paper of state board Class X on Monday gave students a chill as it was not from the textbook. I had studied my course quite well and was able to finish the paper well within time.”Shoaib Akhtar from SFS School said, “I found the paper a little time-consuming. Nagpur: One of the questions in second science paper of state board Class X on Monday gave students a chill as it was not from the textbook. Apparently, second sub-question of question 2 about drawing and labeling parts of a chromosome was a tough call for students and they called it to be ‘out of syllabus’.Teachers, however, deem the complaints as an unwarranted ruckus as the students were informed well in advance that approximately 20% of the questions would be from an earlier class. “Any question can be asked in correlation with the syllabus and it would not be seen as an error or an outside question. Also, there is a section in current textbook which talks about chromosomes so it is safe to say that all questions were indeed from the syllabus,” Varinder Kaur, a science teacher from SFS School, said.Apart from the glitch, the paper was a cakewalk for all. “Paper was not at all difficult and nothing was asked out of the box except for the chromosome diagram. I could complete the paper half an hour before the time,” said Kashish Jamgade from Blue Diamond English High School. His classmate Gitesha Dhore found the paper easier than previous years and said, “Although one of the questions was from Class IX, it was fairly easy as compared to the practice papers I solved. I had studied my course quite well and was able to finish the paper well within time.”Shoaib Akhtar from SFS School said, “I found the paper a little time-consuming. However, nothing that was unmanageable. It was quite easy and language was short and direct.” Rehan Ansari felt the time crunch and said, “The paper was easier than what I expected to be, but it was a little lengthy as well. I think I fared well, except for the second question about chromosomes.”
