NAGPUR: Video of senior BJP corporator Dayashankar Tiwari's reply on police abuse incident has gone viral on social media on Wednesday. Announcing agitation against police, Tiwari also tendered apology for his objectionable words against police personnel.Two youths — Vaibhav Dixit (law student) and Aditya Thakur (engineering student) were allegedly beaten up by a traffic police constable Kishor Jadhav with stick on head and shoulder on Sunday evening.As per Tiwari, Ganeshpeth police were not ready to take complaint of two youths against Jadhav. Also, the youths were forced to sit at police station for over 1 hour instead of sending for medical examination and treatment. This made Tiwari anguish and he had shout on police. He also used some abusive words for the police. A police personnel recorded the incident and made the video viral on social media.Tiwari obtained anticipatory bail on Tuesday. To clear his stand on the incident, Tiwari's supporters recorded his statement and made video viral in social media on Wednesday.In the video, Tiwari went on to say police officials tried for compromise with him. "Jadhav was tested positive under influence of liquor during medical examination. Police officials told me they will not make video viral in case he takes back complaint against Jadhav. I rejected the offer as I wanted justice for the two youths," he said.
