3 workers killed in cylinder blast in Jalgaon

Such was the impact of the blast that two rooms of the cold storage meant for ripening bananas were badly damaged. “Someone among the three deceased was handling a gas cylinder outside the cold storage when the blast happened.”By the time police reached the spot, the three men were already dead with multiple injuries. Their bodies were shifted to the government hospital in Jalgaon.Police said a passerby sustained minor injuries in the blast and his identity is yet to be ascertained. The cold storage had been set up in 2015.“A two-wheeler and an autorickshaw, which were parked close to the cold storage, were also damaged in the blast,” said police officials.The deceased were identified as Shivaji Salunke (29) from Anturli village, Shaikh Sharif Shaikh Khanu Maniyar (38) from Rasalpur taluka in Jalgaon and Nivrutti Patil (44) from Vayali in Barhanpur taluka, Madhya Pradesh.
