The informers tipped us off about the suspect.”The four suspects were identified as Nilesh Sakat (22), Zakir Shaikh (22), Akash Shinde (22) and Mahesh Jadhav (20), all resident of Chehedi Pumping, Sai Moraya Park, Sinnar Phata, Nashik Road.They have been remanded in police custody till August 24. The suspects beat him up and snatched his mobile phone soon after he stopped the vehicle.When other motorists tried to scare away the criminals, they pelted stones at them, targetting an ST bus and a truck before escaping from the scene, said police.Sub-inspector S S Honmane of the Nashik Road police station said that four suspects were arrested on Monday morning. Nashik: Two cases of robbery were reported from the city in the wee hours of Sunday, even as four supects in one of the crimes have been arrested.A Sangamner resident was robbed of his laptop and mobile phone totally worth Rs 43,000 by two criminals and a truck driver of his mobile phone worth Rs 1,000 by four criminals.According to police, the Sangamner resident, Sanjay Ohara (49) arrived in a bus from Mumbai around 2 am and got down near the Kalika Mata temple so that he could walk to his uncle’s residence in the Gadkari Chowk area for an overnight stay.While he was walking towards Gadkari Chowk, two youths held him by his collar and threatened him before snatching his bag containing the laptop and mobile and escaping.In another incident around the same time, truck driver Ranjit Dhaytonde of Indrapur, Pune, was robbed of his mobile phone in the Nashik Road area.Dhaytonde was driving towards Pune when four criminals stopped his truck near the Darna river by threatening to attack him with stones.
