Nashik: Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) seeks government nod to acquire 380 hectares at two locations in Sinnar to set up new industrial estate.The corporation has identified 150 hectares adjacent to its existing industrial estate in Sinnar, while it has proposed 230 hectares at Maparwadi village near the town.“We have sent a proposal to the government for acquiring the land at Maparwadi. We will start further process once we get an approval from the government,” said MIDC official.Senior authorities of MIDC had visited Maparwadi in April this year to check the possibility of acquisition of the land there and he had given the green signal to the proposal of the regional office of MIDC. Now, the proposal has been sent to the government for its approval.The MIDC has already sent a proposal to the government to acquire 150 hectares adjacent to existing industrial estate in Sinnar. “We had a meeting with district collector Radhakrishan B and also the farmers on the issue recently. Now, we are in the process of finalising the rates for land acquisition,” said MIDC official.The Satpur and Ambad industrial estates of MIDC in Nashik have been fully occupied.
