Cloudy skies rainfall in some areas of Maharashtra likely

”The IMD has put out a warning for “heavy to very heavy rain likely at isolated places over coastal Tamil Nadu, south Coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Rayalaseema” for Monday. It is very likely to maintain the intensity of a deep depression during the next 24 hours and weaken into a depression thereafter. Rainfall is likely in some parts of the state, the India Meteorological Department said on Sunday.“The moisture content has increased in the atmosphere leading to cloudy conditions. Showers are likely in some parts of Madhya Maharashtra ,” a senior IMD official said. The chance of some rainfall cannot be ruled out.

PUNE: That stifling feeling on Sunday that hung over the city was because of the cloudy conditions that are likely to continue for a couple of days.The change in the weather has been brought on by Cyclone Gaja. Rainfall is likely in some parts of the state, the India Meteorological Department said on Sunday.“The moisture content has increased in the atmosphere leading to cloudy conditions. The chance of some rainfall cannot be ruled out. Showers are likely in some parts of Madhya Maharashtra ,” a senior IMD official said. He said the rainfall can taken place in some areas of the coastal region of Maharashtra.On Friday, strong winds pushed the cyclonic storm into the interior parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala after it made a landfall near Vedaranyam early in the morning. By evening, the storm had weakened into a deep depression as it moved to the Arabian Sea.As per the daily weather report from the met department, “A deep depression over Southeast Arabian Sea is likely to move west-northwestwards away from Lakshadweep area during the next 48 hours. It is very likely to maintain the intensity of a deep depression during the next 24 hours and weaken into a depression thereafter. ”The IMD has put out a warning for “heavy to very heavy rain likely at isolated places over coastal Tamil Nadu, south Coastal Andhra Pradesh and south Rayalaseema” for Monday.
