Nashik: Following the protest by Nashik-based law students at the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) sub-center on Thursday, the examination department of the university has started declaring results of all LLB and BALLB courses.Pending results have started getting displayed on the university’s website from January 18 and were being updated till Saturday evening.Results of LLB (three-year) 2017 pattern and BA-LLB 2017 pattern (final-year) were displayed online on January 18, while results of first year to fifth year of BA-LLB (five-year) course came out on Saturday.Sources in SPPU examination department told TOI that results of BSL-LLB and LLB final year will be declared online before Monday. A senior official from the department said,” The results were pending due to technical faults in the uploading process. Now, the issue has been resolved and results will come out within the next 24 hours.”It took a total of 78 days for the university to resolve the issue and declare law results. Law students in Nashik had staged agitations as their results were not declared even two months after the examination.“It’s unfortunate that students had to stage a dharna at the SPPU office for timely results. Announcement of results within 45 days of examination is one of the basic directives of the UGC. Still, the SPPU has failed in declaring results for more than 70 days. After our agitation, the university has started declaring the results and we hope that remaining results will come out within the next 24 hours,” student activist Ajinkya Geete said.
