Nashik: The Class 10 students, gearing up for their farewells at schools before the important Board Examinations, will now get valuable advice ahead of their preparation leaves.A 30-member expert squad constituted by the divisional board office will visit the schools across Nashik division, especially on during the farewell functions organized in schools for SSC students. Board secretary Nitin Upasani said that this squad comprises expert teachers, psychologists, councilors and guides.“Their main focus will be on creating awareness about new pattern of the SSC examinations. From this year onwards, students will get less internal marks. This may encourage some of them to use unfair means. The board officials and expert squad members will enlighten them about the new pattern and discourage them from using unfair means,” Upasani said.Schools may approach the board office to confirm the visit and guidance sessions of the expert panel members for students. SSC examinations will start from March 1 and most schools will be holding farewell functions during the next two weeks.“This year, the activity sheet system is to be used for SSC examination and use of unfair means is not possible in this system. Students as well as their parents must know about the details of this system. Hence, members of expert squad have decided to visit schools especially on the occasion of farewell functions when parents are also available,” Upasani said.The squad will visit schools in all four districts coming under the Nashik divisional office of the board. The HSC (Class 12) examination will be held from February 21 to March 20 this year while the SSC (Class 10) examination will be held from March 1 to March 22.
