Special train to run from Mumbai for Infant Jesus feast

Nashik: The Infant Jesus Shrine on Nashik Road will host the annual celebration of the Infant Jesus feast this weekend. Priests are also available for confessions throughout the day.“The Shrine of Infant Jesus welcomes people from all religions to participate in the religious services and prayer. 02095) will leave Dadar from platform No 5 at 7.45am on Saturday and will reach Nasik Road the same day at 10.55am. 02096) Nasik Road-Dadar superfast special will leave Nasik Road station from platform no 4 at 7.45pm and will at arrive Dadar at 10.55pm.This train will halt at Thane, Kalyan, Kasara and Igatpuri stations in both directions. The general second class will run as unreserved coach and the tickets for the same can be booked through the UTS.This train runs annually on this occasion to help thousands of devotees.

Being the golden jubilee year of the celebration, thousands of devotees from across the country are expected to visit the church on Saturday.To help the devotees on account of the annual pilgrimage to the shrine, the Central Railway will run a superfast special train on February 9 from Dadar to Nasik Road and back.The train (No. 02095) will leave Dadar from platform No 5 at 7.45am on Saturday and will reach Nasik Road the same day at 10.55am. In the return direction, the train (No. 02096) Nasik Road-Dadar superfast special will leave Nasik Road station from platform no 4 at 7.45pm and will at arrive Dadar at 10.55pm.This train will halt at Thane, Kalyan, Kasara and Igatpuri stations in both directions. The composition of this train is 6 sleeper class, 12 general second class and 2 luggage cum guard’s brake van.The booking for both the special trains have already opened at all PRS locations and IRCTC’s website (www.irctc.co.in). The general second class will run as unreserved coach and the tickets for the same can be booked through the UTS.This train runs annually on this occasion to help thousands of devotees. Many devotees reach Nashik by their personal vehicles. The church administration has arranged ample parking space for these vehicles. For convenience of the pilgrims, masses are held in English and Marathi on the grounds every hour from 6 am to 7pm. Priests are also available for confessions throughout the day.“The Shrine of Infant Jesus welcomes people from all religions to participate in the religious services and prayer. Non-Christians are invited to receive prasad after the mass,” Fr Trevor Miranda S J, chaplain of the church, said.He also stated that the church is providing educational and medical facilities to numerous children in schools and boarding facilities in tribal dominated rural areas.
