Devotees and priests of the temple town spotted the damaged part and brought it to the notice of the police.The police also called a meeting of the peace committee members who expressed their feelings and later thanked the police and the revenue administration for ensuring that peace was maintained in the temple town.The Trimbak police told the peace committee members that the person behind the act was a native of some other state and must have committed the act under the influence of alcohol.
