Moreover, the organizers are offering nice discount too," said Pallavi Patil, a student who visited the exhibition.Books on MPSC/UPSC examinations, keys and practice papers on IBPS/SSC examinations, and those written by experts about the interview and communication skills were being sold more compared to novels, biographies and autobiographies.In the afternoon session of the event, Sanjay Aparanti shared information on job-related examinations at a seminar dedicated to preparation tips for various examinations. More than 400 youths attended the seminar.Earlier, Marathi author Uttam Kamble spoke on the subejct 'What books have given to us'. He narrated the need to read the books in physical format and not mere on computer screens. "Granthotsava was started to inculcate the habit of reading in the young generation. Books will show you the right path in every situation of life. Because, books inspire you to think and create unlike the digital and electronic platforms which give only information, not wisdom," he said.On Wednesday, books were brought to the venue in a traditional 'dindi' (procession) in which students from city colleges participated. Mayor Ranjana Bhansi inaugurated the event. A poets's summit was held in the evening. Well-known poets of Nashik district Shankar Borade, Rajendra Ugale, Sandeep Jagtap and many new poets presented their poems. Minister of state Dada Bhuse also attended this summit.Granthotsava is organised at every district headquarters.
