Ghaziabad: A man in his mid-20s suffered a bullet injury on Sunday evening in a clash between two groups in Loni border area. Police said the fight started when the motorcycle of one man ran over the feet of another in Panchwati Colony.Following this, an argument ensued between them and snowballed into a clash between the two groups. Several rounds of bullets were fired and stones were hurled by both sides.One of the accused, identified as Joginder, has been arrested. The victim, Nitin, is presently recuperating at GTB Hospital in Delhi.Around 5pm on Sunday, Rahul ran over the feet of Sunny, his neighbour and Nitin’s younger brother, with his motorcycle. This led to an exchange of verbal abuses between Sunny and Rahul. Locals managed to stop the argument and Sunny left the spot.After some time, Rahul returned with his accomplices, including Joginder, and attacked Sunny and Nitin, firing several bullet shots at Nitin. One of the bullets hit Nitin on the back, near his shoulder, and he fell down. Locals who were witnessing this started pelting stones and bricks on the seven-eight assailants who had come on bikes. The assailants fled the spot.Police was subsequently informed and Nitin was rushed to the hospital.An FIR under Section 307 of the IPC has been registered at the local police station against Joginder and seven of his alleged accomplices.
