3 students rob cabbie on gunpoint, arrested

GREATER NOIDA: Three students of a government school in Dadri , who are in their early twenties, took an Ola cab driver on gunpoint and robbed him of Rs 2,200 on Sunday night. The three are students of Class X, XI and XII in a government school in the village. On reaching Bhadoli village, one of them pulled out a gun and held Sunil on gunpoint.

GREATER NOIDA: Three students of a government school in Dadri , who are in their early twenties, took an Ola cab driver on gunpoint and robbed him of Rs 2,200 on Sunday night. However, the three landed in police net on Monday as they traced the trio using the phone number used for booking the cab.According to police, Arvind Bhati (21), Prabhavit Bhati (20) and Chetan Kumar (20), all residents of Badhpura village in Dadri, hired the cab from Sector 18 metro station, Noida on Sunday night. The three are students of Class X, XI and XII in a government school in the village. The Ola driver, Sunil Kumar, picked them on his Maruti Swift Dzire. On reaching Bhadoli village, one of them pulled out a gun and held Sunil on gunpoint. He was told to get down and one of them took control of the vehicle. The other two sat with Sunil. Later the three students took away Rs 2,200 from Sunil, which was all the cash he had at that moment.“The three boys drove the vehicle around Greater Noida and on the Bulandshahr road for nearly four hours. After travelling for 125 km, when the fuel indictator showed it as empty, they abandoned the vehicle on a dead end of the road at Dadri bypass,” Sunil added. Another cab driver, who saw the incident on Noida Expressway, informed police and gave the registration number of the car.
