NOIDA: Two women allegedly committed suicide in different high-rises of Noida on Tuesday.A 45-year-old woman residing in HCL Tower 4 allegedly jumped to her death from the eight floor of the building in Sector 62. Police said the woman, Ekta Kapoor, was suffering from depression. She was alone in the flat when the incident happened on Monday.Kanpur resident Ekta had been staying in flat number 16 of tower I with her husband Nischal Kapoor and a six-year-old daughter. While Ekta’s daughter had gone for tuitions at the time of the incident, her husband was in Greater Noida.In another incident, a 27-year-old married woman in Nithari of Sector 30 was allegedly found hanging from the fan in her home.Lipi Halder, who was from West Bengal , had been staying with husband Saurabh in Nithari. She had had a fight with her husband.“Lipi wanted to keep something in the fridge which Saurabh objected to and the two had a fight over it. She left for her room in a whiff and hanged herself. She was then taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared her dead,” a police officer from Sector 20 police station said.
