Noida: District admn recovers encroached land in Dadri; DM assures support to farmers for Jewar land

“For this full support to all farmers (who stand to lose their land for the airport project) will be provided by the officials of the district administration,” said Singh. GREATER NOIDA: Revenue officials of Dadri tehsil - including deputy district magistrate Dadri Anjani Kumar Singh and associate tehsildar Alok Pratap Singh - recovered more than 4 hectares (8 acre) of government land at Jarcha which was encroached by local farmers during an anti-encroachment drive.Meanwhile, District magistrate, Gautam Budh Nagar, BN Singh assured all support to farmers for Jewar land at a meeting held at the collectorate on late Thursday evening.“On the directives of BN Singh district magistrate Gautam Budha Nagar, we carried out anti-encroachment drive on more than 4 hectares of government in Jarcha area of Dadri. The land was in illegal possession of local farmers who were doing farming on it,” Anjani Kumar Singh told TOI.While warning was given against any further such encroachment to the locals in the area, Singh was accompanied by tehsildar Alok Pratap Singh and naib tehsildar Aarti Yadav on the occasion.Later in the evening, district magistrate BN Singh held a meeting with the farmers at the collectorate with the aim of bringing mobility to the Jewar Greenfield international airport project.On the occasion Singh told the farmers that under the provisions of section 15 of the land acquisition act, all necessary clearances for the airport project have to be achieved within two months.
