Not all the work but most of the work can be completed by December 25,” an official said. The metro will be ready for running once the CMRS gives its report stating that the metro can be commissioned. Either the government can share a date or we can ourselves invite the government to inaugurate the line. Director (operations) will be in charge of the line.“A report will also be shared with the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MHUA). We will wait for the report,” Upadhayay said. However, since the CMRS pointed out different pending works around and outside the metro premises, Noida Authority’s will have to speed up its work under the metro track. As reported by TOI on Wednesday, the road under the track is yet to be complete and even the divider, the central verge between the two carriageways, parking facility and the parks outside the stations are yet to be complete.“The manholes made for the rain water harvesting system have to be closed as rightly pointed out.

NOIDA: With the CMRS conducting its final tests for speed, emergency break test and the automatic protection system on the entire aqua line, the three-day inspection concluded on a positive note. However, it will now be the task of the Noida Authority to look into the incomplete works like the under-construction road, dividers, parking and the manholes, etc which would need speedy construction as the metro line is proposed to open by December 25celebrated as the “good governance day”.On the third and final day of the aqua line inspection, the CMRS oversaw the train undergoing a full rolling stock trial, ATP ( automatic train protection ) run test and emergency breaking test along with speed tests from Sector 51 metro station to depot station and vice versa.Automatic train protection (ATP) system involves continual checks on the speed of a train and whether it is compatible with the speed as allowed by signalling.According to an official, the train ran upto a speed of 90 kmph and covered the 29.7 km track in 40 minutes. The maximum allowed speed for the aqua line is 85 kmph. The two full-fledged speed tests were conducted on the line with the train travelling from the depot station to the Sector 51 station and vice versa. While the authorities have not yet said anything about the official date of inauguration, an official said that the metro was ready for commissioning by December 25 if the CMRS gives a go ahead.NMRC executive director PD Upadhyay told TOI that the CMRS will give its detailed report to the Director (operations) of the DMRC within eight days after which the latter will share feedback with the NMRC.
