Fire breaks out at garment factory in Noida, no causalities

NOIDA: A fire broke out at a garment factory here on Tuesday, damaging goods worth Rs 2.5 lakh, officials said. "Driers and some garments totalling worth around Rs 2.5 lakh were lost in flames. But the flames were controlled in time and checked from spreading further," Fire Safety Officer Radheshyam Yadav said.No injury to any person was reported during the incident, he said. Preliminary probe suggests that the fire broke out due to a short circuit. The fire was reported at around 2.30pm after which fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the flames were doused.The factory in H Block of Sector 63 belonged to a Delhi-based businessman Atulya Sharma and exported finished products, a fire department official said.
