Sources said the party had rejected his candidature after his name came up in the case. Bhati has reportedly fled to Canada.Despite repeated attempts, neither Bike Bot officials nor BSP members were available for comment.Bike Bot offers bike taxi services in several cities, including Noida, Greater Noida , Ghaziabad, Meerut and Jaipur. Police said the FIR was registered against Bhati and his company’s five directors — Rajesh Bharadwaj, Sunil Kumar Prajapati, Deepti Behl, Sachin Bhati, and Karan Pal Singh. The complainant has been identified as Sunil Meena, a resident of Jagatpura in Jaipur.“Meena said the five accused took Rs 34 lakh from him as investment. But the company failed to credit returns on time,” said Ram Sen Singh, the Dadri SHO.Meena alleged that Bike Bot had said he could set up its franchise in Jaipur for Rs 34 lakh. “I was told that I would be the CEO of Bike Bot’s Jaipur operations. They promised to operate 51 bike taxis there. I signed an agreement with the company in October 2018 which said I would manage daily operations while the company would provide office space, parking space for bikes and salaries of the drivers. But nothing has actually happened so far. I have neither received office space nor returns from my investment,” Meena said.A similar case of fraud and cheating was lodged against the company in Meerut last month. “The six accused were booked under sections 420 (cheating), 408 (criminal breach of trust), 471 (using a forged document) and 468 (forgery for cheating) of the IPC at Dadri police station on Thursday,” SHO Singh said.
