NOIDA: A 22-year-old woman has filed a complaint against her husband and three others for allegedly trying to kill her and torturing her for the past one year.Payal Yadav, a native of Uncha village in Aligarh, in her police complaint said she met Pramod (29), an auto driver , in 2017 when she was working at a garment company in Sector 62. "He used to work as a driver there. We fell in love and decided to get married. After my parents death, I used to reside with my paternal uncle and his family. As they objected to my relationship with him, we had a court marriage in March 2018," Payal said.Within two months of the marriage, Payal got to know that Pramod was already married and had four daughters from the first wife - Guddi. Payal said that soon after the revelation, Guddi started interfering in their relationship and her torture began. "When I was three months pregnant in October, Pramod stabbed me in the stomach and I suffered a miscarriage. My in-laws got me admitted to Charra hospital in Aligarh where I was treated for my wound. Pramod shifted to Noida while I stayed in Aligarh with his parents. After a few days, he started threatening me and asked me to shift to Noida," Payal said.After moving to Noida, Pramod took her to a rented accommodation in Sector 71, where his first wife was also residing. Her ordeal continued here too as Pramod along with his cousins - Umesh and Munish - and Guddi started harassing her and demanded a bike and Rs 50,000 cash.Payal alleged that in January this year, Guddi thrashed Payal and locked her inside a room. The four accused allegedly tried to kill her by pushing her out of a moving auto in February. She suffered injuries in her head, hands and legs and was admitted to a hospital in Noida Extension. After her discharge from the hospital on February 18, Payal - who works for a matrimonial site - approached her employer and shared her ordeal.Munna Lal Agrawal, an officer-bearer of Western UP Vyapar mandal who runs a matrimonial site in Greater Noida 's Alpha I, told TOI that he decided to help her meet the SSP and lodge a police complaint."We tried to meet the SSP on Monday but he was unavailable. We met an officer on duty at the SSP office and the latter forwarded the matter to the women's police station," he said.When contacted, Rashmi Chaudhary, SHO, women's police station said, "If the complaint has been forwarded to the police station on Monday, we will receive it by Tuesday morning."
