Cops said a tyre burst led to the crash.The accident occurred around 5.30pm on Friday. Three friends, Amir Khan (24), Faisal (22) and Javed (23), all residents of Surajpur, were going towards Dadri from Surajpur in Amir’s WagonR to distribute some wedding cards Near Roopwas village on Dadri Bypass Road, the car overturned and rammed into a divider.“We received information of the crash around 5.35pm from a passerby. A police team immediately reached the spot and rushed the three to Mohan Swaroop Hospital in Dadri, where Amir was declared dead on arrival. The other two were given immediate medical assistance and later discharged,” said Neeraj Malik, SHO of Dadri police station.He said prima facie it seemed that the front left tyre of the WagonR burst midway, due to which it overturned and hit the divider.“Preliminary investigation indicates that Amir was driving at a speed of 90-100km per hour. The tyre burst suddenly. Amir couldn’t control the car, and it overturned and crashed. As Amir was behind the wheel, he suffered grievous head injuries. When we took him to the hospital, he was declared brought dead by doctors, while the two others were discharged after first aid,” Malik said.Police said no FIR has been registered in the case as nobody has filed a complaint.Amir’s family said he is survived by his wife and a four-month-old child. “He was on his way to Dadri, where he was going to deliver the wedding cards of his cousin. He owned a clothing store in Surajpur,” said Tauseef Ali, a relative.
