Noida: Two doctors of a private hospital were booked for criminal negligence after a couple alleged that they delayed the delivery of their child, which led to its death.Ankit Garg, a software company employee, said his wife Shweta, a test engineer at Infosys , Pune, were expecting their first child and had been undergoing treatment since December 2018. “When Shweta completed the 40th week, we got a check-up done. The doctor said there was nothing to worry. We were asked to get an ultrasound done and the technician said her body had less amniotic fluid,” Ankit told TOI. He said her last check-up was on March 8. “At 9.08pm on Saturday, Shweta had labour pain and I got her admitted around 9.30pm when there were no doctors. A nurse found things normal. A junior doctor arrived at 10.15 pm and said the delivery could happen around 4 or 5 am,” Ankit said.He said Shweta was left unattended. “Around 11.15pm, when the pain became unbearable, a nurse was called.
