NOIDA: A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her neighbour in a village under the Jewar police station jurisdiction on Monday. The accused has been arrested in an encounter with the Jewar police team on Monday night.According to the police, the girls father stated that a man in his neighbourhood alleged lured his daughter, took her to his room and raped her. "The girl called for help and her family members as well as neighbours came to her rescue. But by then, the accused had allegedly fled the spot. The girls father came to the police station while the minor was sent for medical," said a senior officer. Based on the complaint filed by the victims father, a case under IPC section 375 (rape) and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012 has been registered.
