GREATER NOIDA: Four people, including husband and a neighbour, have been arrested for allegedly hiring shooters to kill a woman in Dadri. Police said her husband suspected her of infidelity and the other three wanted to get rid of the loans taken from her.Rajkumari (40) was killed by two bike-borne assailants on the morning of September 26, just 100 meters away from her house in Saraswati Kunj.The two shooters, Arvind alias Monu Gurjar (27) and Aniket alias Dujana (21), were arrested after a gunfight on Saturday. The duo told police that they were hired by her neighbour, Kapil Gurjar, for Rs 50,000. Cops said Gurjar is also a friend of Rajkumaris husband, Pushpendra (45).Five police teams were formed to investigate the case. With the help of a cyber team and surveillance, call records of the deceaseds mobile number were obtained. We called and questioned a few people, said DCP Saad Miya Khan.Rajkumaris daughter told police that the victim used to lend money on interest and maintained a diary, but after her death, the diary went missing.Pushpendras friend, Jeetendra, had borrowed Rs 1 lakh from the deceased; his other friend, Kushalpal, had taken Rs 2.5 lakh from her; and Kapil had borrowed Rs 25,000 from her as a loan. After the revelation of the sharpshooters, we arrested Kapil, who revealed the names of his accomplices, Pushpendra and Jeetendra, added Khan.Subsequently, they were arrested on Sunday. During questioning, Pushpendra told the police that his wife was not happy with his drinking habit. Apart from this, he received a call recording from Jeetendra a few days ago in which Rajkumari told him that she would love him if he killed her husband."The recording was nearly a year old, but after listening to it, he hatched a plan to kill his wife and steal all her money from the locker in the house. He roped in Jeetendra, Kushalpal, and Kapil, promising to forgive their loans," the DCP stated.Police have booked all the accused under IPC sections 302 (murder), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace).
