Noida: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has decided to revise its dog policy due to the increase in dog bite cases and complaints related to dog littering and other issues. Recently, there has been a considerable rise in reports of conflicts between pet owners and society members, particularly involving pet dogs/cats roaming, defecating, barking, biting and more in public places.Aggression in pets, especially pet dogs, has become a growing concern among residents. The feeding of stray dogs and their exclusion from societies is also a point of contention between animal lovers and residents.A GNIDA official told TOI that the issues were discussed during a recent meeting chaired by CEO Ravi Kumar NG. The CEO also received several representations from public bodies seeking changes in the current pet. Consequently, it was decided that they would gather feedback from the public and implement the new suggestions if they align with the AWBI guidelines. The last date to file feedback is November 10. GNIDAs current pet policy, which was implemented in January of this year, is similar to that of the Noida Authority. The policy deals with the responsibilities of pet owners, RWAs, and residents, and imposes fines on owners for infringements such as not registering their pets with GNIDAs pet registration app.It was clarified that no RWA or AOA has the right to impose any prohibition or create rules related to pets.We also published the following articles recentlyElderly woman hospitalised after being bitten by pet dog in Ambala, owner bookedAn elderly woman in Ambala was hospitalized after being bitten by her neighbors pet dog. Indias response to the crisis has been cautious, considering its investment in the region and the potential impact on its external strategy. The future outcomes of the conflict will depend on the extent to which Hamas is degraded and whether a Palestinian civilian alternative can replace it. Indias commitment to a two-state solution remains consistent, despite domestic differences. The crisis highlights the historical inequities and fragmentation in West Asia, which has affected Indias engagement with the region. Indias West Asia policy aims to redress these issues through initiatives like the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEEC). However, there is a growing "Palestine fatigue" among Western governments, progressive Arab states, and Indian society, partly due to the failure of Palestinian leadership to transition from violence to mature politics. The attacks have also raised questions about Israels security preparedness and intelligence shortcomings, which may impact future electoral decisions.Man dumps his girlfriends pet pythons after breaking up with herResidents in the eastern suburbs of Sydney are searching for two pet pythons that were allegedly abandoned by a womans ex-boyfriend. The snakes, named Mango and Bagel, were last seen in Coogee and their owner has offered a reward for their safe return. Local residents have joined the search, with reported sightings, but the pythons remain elusive. Police have charged a man in connection with the incident, but the snakes are still missing. A reptile handler has expressed concern for their well-being, as domesticated snakes are less adaptable to the wild.
