Discom to repair feeders to avert outages in Noida

NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: The power department has started repairing feeders to ensure there are no outages during the upcoming festivals of Karwa Chauth, Dhanteras, Diwali, and Chhath. There are 800 feeders through which power is supplied from over 90 substations across GB Nagar. The move comes following CM Yogi Adityanaths directive on October 16 to ensure no power cuts during the festivals. We have started the repair work at the substations to ensure uninterrupted power supply during festivals. We are focusing on repairing the feeders and maintaining transformers, cables, etc., said an official. Besides, area-wise teams have been formed to monitor the cable lines at the feeder level as well as carry out repair work. The power department is also setting up quick response teams (QRT) and a 24x7 control room to address local faults.
