NOIDA: NCR residents are facing health issues such as burning and itching eyes, breathing problems, sore throat and cough due to high pollution levels. While masks — a stark reminder of the Covid pandemic — are out again, most residents are avoiding morning and evening walks and remaining indoors. Some senior citizens whom TOI contacted have also started using nebulisers. LR Nautiyal (70) from Siddharth Vihar in Ghaziabad, who has been on a nebuliser for some time now, said, Senior citizens live like hostages in the house from morning till evening. It has become mandatory to close all windows and doors so that outdoor pollution cannot enter. Even then, I face breathing trouble. It seems as if the lockdown of the Covid era is back.
