Snake venom case: Cops send YouTuber notice to join probe

NOIDA: Police issued a notice to Youtuber and reality TV star Elvish Yadav on Tuesday, summoning him to join the investigation into the suspected use of snake venom opioids at rave parties and record his statement. Apart from this, police are expected to demand custody of the arrested accused to question them further. Five of the accused other than Yadav have been arrested so far.An official said, We are also going to apply for police remand of the five arrested accused to question them further.A senior officer revealed that they have not found any concrete evidence, so Noida police have sent three teams to Mumbai, Delhi and Gurgaon for further investigation. We have a few leads on which our teams are working, the official said adding that a questionnaire for Yadavs interrogation has also been prepared.Names of some prominent celebrities have also surfaced relating to the case and teams are working to collect evidence against them. They would also be summoned for interrogation once we have adequate evidence, said an official.The case, which was earlier registered at Sector 49 police station, has now been shifted to Sector 20 police station. The official in charge of Sector 49 station has been sent to police line over negligence in duty. While Yadav is based in Gurgaon, he said he was in Mumbai on the day the five were arrested last week.
