NOIDA: The gang of thieves who targeted the warehouse of an MNC in Surajpur and stole electronic products worth Rs 1.5 crore on November 12 has been busted. Four members were arrested from LG Golchakkar in Greater Noida on Sunday.Police identified them as Maya Patel (26) alias Sandeep, Surendra Patel (32), Vishal Kumar (27) and Suraj Benwanshi (19), all residents of Jaunpur.DCP (Central Noida) Suniti said on November 14, police received a complaint from Sandeep Kumar, an executive at the warehouse. The warehouse was closed for Diwali on November 12. After another day of leave, when the security supervisor entered the warehouse on November 14, he was shocked to see high-end electronic products missing. When he checked the warehouse, he found the metal sheet on the rear of the warehouse removed. The CCTV footage captured a thief, she said.Three police teams checked the footage and gathered manual information. During the investigation, they found some stolen products in the market. The investigation revealed the accused used to target easy-to-carry, high-end electronic products. The accused hold previous crime records in Maharashtra, Haryana, and Karnataka. The kingpin, Maya, was in prison in Maharashtra for four years, said DCP. The accused used to target closed warehouses after a recce. Once decided, the gang used to rob it at night. Surajpur police recovered 60 cameras, 13 camera lenses, 22 memory cards, 22 earbuds and an SUV used to commit the theft from the arrested persons.
