50% schools yet to be inspected, Noida 3rd from last on list

NOIDA: Noida has ranked 73rd in the state in the rate of inspections of schools. In October, only 275 of 575 schools were inspected by a district-level team. The inspection is based on parameters such as quality of education and mid-day meals. Ghaziabad, meanwhile, has performed better, making it to the 26th spot. The maximum number of schools were inspected in Baghpat.Headed by the district magistrate, teams formed at the block level carry out inspection and a report is prepared every month.A month back, in September, GB Nagar was at 50th position in therank list. As per the guidelines, on completion of 94.2% of inspections, each district gets ten marks, likewise, if a district scores below 48.34%, it gets no points for that. In October, with only 47.83% of schools inspected, Noida scored no marks for the school inspection survey.We conducted the inspections on time. However, the data couldnt be uploaded on the portal due to technical glitches. Instructions have been given to all officers to maintain the data on time, said Manish Kumar Verma, the district magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar.After inspecting 535 of 615 schools, Ghaziabad completed 86.9% of inspections in October and secured 7 out of 10 marks. The district was at rank 4 in September with 94.96% accomplishment of school inspection.Last time, the rank was better. We will look into why it has deteriorated.
