Noida firm to work on edu development plan for Delhi-NCR

Noida: A city-based urban development and infrastructure consultancy firm will soon prepare a functional plan to boost the educational infrastructure in Delhi-NCR for the NCR Planning Board (NCRPB). The plan will focus on education and employability via appropriate education and skill development on 55,000 sq km, comprising 24 districts across Delhi, Haryana, UP, and Rajasthan. In March, bids were invited from companies for preparing the plan, according to the 2041 regional plan for the dairy, tourism and heritage, health, education and skill development and digital sectors. Rudrabhishek Enterprises, which earlier prepared the 2041 master plan for the Greater Noida Authority, was selected. CMD Pradeep Misra said, By 2031, NCR will likely become the most populous capital region globally. The functional plan aims to position NCR as a globally renowned yet affordable education and skill development hub for the region and beyond. There will also be a separate skill development sub-plan, focusing on skilling with employability.Prabhakar Kumar, business head (urban), said the company would assess and analyse all educational infrastructure in NCR and identify gaps and remedial measures. The exercise will be in tandem with master plans prepared by the respective development authorities of the cities.It will cover the assessment of education and skill development based on the regions social, educational and economic background. It will provide physical and social infrastructure as related solutions and enable a major shift of education and skilling facilities to the digital level.
