Noida: Three persons were arrested on Monday after a 17-year-old girl who was being forcefully married off and taken to Agra alerted a worker at a CNG pump and asked him to call police.The 22-year-old groom Jaydev and his relatives Babita and Ajay Sharma were arrested. The girl, police said, lived with her brother and sister-in-law after her parents died.ACP Sumit Shukla, said the girls marriage was fixed by her sister-in-law, Saloni. On Monday, she brought the girl to Chipyana village in Greater Noida. Jaydev, Ajay and Babita also reached there. The girl was then forced to exchange garlands with the groom, he added.Jaydev and the others decided to complete the remaining wedding rituals in Agra, Shukla said. The three then left with the girl. At 7pm, they stopped at a CNG pump in Ecotech-3 to refuel their vehicle.The girl said she needed to use the washroom. She managed to alert a worker at the pump about her forced marriage. The worker alerted police on the emergency helpline number and a patrolling vehicle was rushed to the spot, Shukla said.The police team recorded the girls statement.
