BJP starts yatra in Noida to reach out to voters with schemes

NOIDA: The BJPs national president, JP Nadda, inaugurated the district-level Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra aimed at creating awareness among people about the Centres welfare schemesin Greater Noida on Thursday. The party plans to take the scheme — launched by the Prime Minister on November 15 from Jharkhand — to 2.5 lakh panchayats in the country. It will conclude on January 26.Nadda stressed the potential of the initiative in informing marginalised sections of programmes that are being implemented by the central government and exhorted the public to work for the betterment of all sections of society. The officials informed people about various government schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, etc., and how to avail of them. Many do not know the benefits of these schemes, and hence, through this yatra, we will inform them about these schemes, said Nadda. He further said the government aims to provide affordable housing to 4 crore people under the PM Awas Yojana and aims to provide gas connections to 9.5 crore people. This scheme aims to ensure that no one sleeps under the open sky, he added. With the Lok Sabha elections approaching, the BJP president urged the party workers to start this yatra in their areas.
