What’s the status of biz deals struck at investor summit? Yogi to review

NOIDA: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will hold a meeting with the Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway authorities on Friday to discuss the status of business deals inked during the Global Investors Summit in Lucknow this February. Adityanath will be in the NCR city to attend the convocation of Bennett University. The government is planning a ground-breaking ceremony next year, when it will announce business deals that have materialised.For this, the government has already specified targets for each development authority.The Noida Authority, for instance, has been set a target of implementing projects worth Rs 90,000 crore, while Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Rs 60,000 crore and Rs 30,000 crore, respectively.Officials said the Noida and Greater Noida authorities had achieved around 60% of their targets so far. The Yamuna Expressway Authority has almost achieved its target, according to the officials.During the investors summit in Lucknow, the Noida Authority had signed more than 425 business deals worth Rs 1 lakh crore, while Greater Noida had inked 120 MoUs worth Rs 80,000 crore. YEIDA had also sealed over 100 deals worth Rs 1.2 lakh crore.Fridays meeting with Adityanath will take place at Gautam Buddha University (GBU) after an event there. The three development authorities are preparing their reports to be tabled before the chief minister.Discussions on the ground-breaking ceremony are likely to be a major aspect of the review meeting on Friday. We have achieved 60% of the target set for us. We will fulfil the deal once new schemes are launched. Besides, we will apprise the chief minister about ongoing and completed projects, said Lokesh M, the Noida Authority CEO.Greater Noida Authority CEO Ravi Kumar NG said they, too, were ready with their report. All aspects of the authoritys functioning, including policy matters and projects, will be discussed at the meeting. We have prepared a detailed report, which will be presented before the chief minister.All three authorities are said to have prepared comprehensive accounts since March 2022 for Fridays meeting. This includes crucial projects like the Noida international airport and Film City.TRAFFIC DIVERSIONThe district administration and traffic police have announced diversion plans for Adityanaths visit. Traffic will be diverted on the DND loop on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, Film City flyover, Mahamaya flyover, Sirsa roundabout, Rampur-Fatehpur trisection and the Gautam Buddha University roundabout, among others, for sometime..We also published the following articles recentlyGreater Noida residents complain of water and sewer problemsResidents of Sector P3 in Greater Noida complain about dirty, low-pressure water supply that doesnt meet their needs. The broken sewer and manhole in Sector 3 will be fixed soon.Noida proposes a 28km road to ease travel on expresswayThe Noida Authority plans to construct a 28km road to ease travel on Noida Expressway. The route will skirt the Noida-Greater Noida expressway, and extend towards the Yamuna-Pushta road. A committee will conduct a feasibility study of the alternative route, collaborating with the irrigation department and NHAI. The Noida Authority will ask NHAI to oversee the construction of this new road, and the final decision will rest with the government. The new route aims to unclog the Noida expressway due to increased traffic volume, including traffic from the upcoming airport.Rapid rail for Noida airport, but it may not be ready before 2041...The UP government has approved a rapid rail corridor to link the Noida International Airport (NIA) with Delhi and other parts of NCR. The proposed route will branch out of the Ghaziabad rapid rail station on the Delhi-Meerut line. The Noida airport is set for an end-2024 launch. The proposal sees the 72.3km rapid rail corridor to the NIA being completed only in 2041. The NIA corridor will branch out of the Delhi-Meerut rapid rail line, which is under construction and will be launched in 2025, at Ghaziabad station.
