Nashik’s minimum temperature was 13 degrees celsius on November 15, which fell to 11.8 degrees C on Friday.Met department officials said the minimum temperatures were below the normal by 1.6°C to -3°C at most places over Vidarbha and Marathwada, at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa and Odisha and at isolated places over east Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, among others.Mahesh Palawat, chief meteorologist, Skymet Weather Services said chilly northwesterly winds from Jammu & Kashmir have begun to affect many regions in the country.

PUNE: Nashik and Pune were among the coldest stations in the plains on Friday where the mercury dipped to 11.8 degrees celsius.Both were the coldest of the cities that India Meteorological Department estimates temperature for in Maharashtra.Bhilwara in Rajasthan and Adilabad in Telangana were the coldest stations in the whole of India on Friday where the night temperature dipped to 8.2 degrees celsius.Other stations like Delhi, Patiala and Ludhiana in North India among others also saw night temperature higher than Pune and Nashik.Minimum temperatures in some stations in North India like Delhi, Patiala, Ambala and Ludhiana were in the range of 12 to over 14 degrees C on Friday.Hill stations like Mahabaleshwar and Madikeri (Coorg) recorded higher night temperatures than Pune and Nashik.
