They were rushed to nearby hospitals without in ambulances pressed into the service. Taking it count, the Pune district administration and rural police made tight security arrangements at Koregaon Bhima on Tuesday.The vehicular movement on the Pune-Ahmednagar road was completely stopped and the section of the highway between Tulapur Phata and Koregaon Bhima was turned into a walking plaza.Ram said the internet connectivity of cellphones and wired connections were shut down in the area as a precautionary measure from Monday midnight.

The rural police maintained strict vigil on the highway and neighbouring villages of Vadhu, Perne, Sanaswadi, Shikrapur and others.Inspector-general of police (Kolhapur range) Nangare-Patil and superintendent of police Sandeep Patil personally monitored Law and order situation in the villages. Patil and his wife welcomed visitors in the morning by offering flowers.Apart from 5,000 personnel, the police maintained a vigil on the area with the help of 12 drone cameras and 500 CCTV cameras. There was heavy police deployment at each junction and visitors were guided to the victory pillar.Ram said many people fainted while standing in queues. They were rushed to nearby hospitals without in ambulances pressed into the service.
