PUNE: The Hinjewadi police on Thursday registered an offence against a 30-year-old employee of a private company for threatening his estranged wife at gunpoint. The woman had lodged complainants with the police of unnatural offences and domestic violence against her husband. He wanted her to withdraw them.The 33-year-old woman, who stays with her son in Hinjewadi, in her complaint, said the incident happened on December 26 last year, when she had gone out with her son.An officer from the Hinjewadi police told TOI that the suspect and the complainant were married, but were living apart since the last few months. “The woman lodged two complaints against her husband with the Hinjewadi police. That include domestic violence and also of unnatural offence,” the officer said.He said the suspect was harassing her. “On December 26, the suspect arrived on a motorcycle with another woman. He then whipped out a pistol and told the complainant to withdraw all the cases. When the woman refused, he threatened to kill her and then fled.”
