NFAIrsquos lsquoMahatma on celluloidrsquo commences in the city

Renowned filmmaker Govind Nihalani and actress Rohini Hattangadi inaugurated National Film Archive of India’s exhibition ‘The Mahatma on Celluloid’ at Pune International Film Festival 2019 a few days ago in the presence of Dr. Jabbar Patel, chairman and director Pune International Film Festival (PIFF). PIFF is an international affair which happens once a year in the city. NFAI merchandises like mugs, books, bookmarks and recently launched NFAI calendar 2019 have also been kept for sale at this exhibition being held at City Pride Kothrud. The exhibition of film posters showcases the influence of Gandhiji and his thoughts on Indian cinema and celebrates the teachings of our father of the nation. This year, the event began on January 11 and will be concluding tomorrow.
