The vehicle was on its second trip when its brakes failed around 9.50am. An investigation has been ordered and we shall know the specifics only after the report comes. Action will be taken on its basis.”Maintenance of buses has been the biggest problems of the PMPML. It has so far failed to bring in any improvement on this front despite suggestions and warnings given by different agencies, including the bus manufacturers, regional transport office and Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT).On several occasions, passengers had a narrow escape when PMPML buses caught fire because of poor maintenance of vehicles.
