PUNE: Hinjewadi police have booked a 42-year-old software engineer, working in one of the leading software company at Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park at Hinjewadi, for allegedly molesting his 32-year-old colleague in June and August 2016 under the pretext of helping her. Police said that that the techie in question is her immediate superior.However, in meantime, her husband died in an accident and the woman was in depression. The company recently decided to terminate her services for several reasons, police said.Police said that the woman was married then and had informed her husband about the verbal and physical abuse in the company premises. Her husband, also a techie, urged her to write a detail email to the HR manager of the company.Police said that the suspect had passed on lewd comments demanding sexual favours from her. The woman had submitted a detail report to the Human Resource (HR) manager of the company at that time but the company did not act on her complaint, police said.
