Charred body found near Bhimashankar

Pune: The Khed police on Sunday afternoon found a charred body in the jungles of Mandoshi village near Bhimashankar. Police suspect that somebody may have killed the person and then set the body on fire. The police failed to ascertain the gender and identity of the deceased.This is the second such incident at Mandoshi village, located about 120km from here, in the last three months, police said.The body of an unknown man was found in a similar fashion in the village in January. The man had a Hanuman tattoo on his arm but his identity has not been ascertained.Police said the local villagers who ventured out early in the morning spotted the body and called the police, assistant inspector Nilesh Badakh of Khed police station said.
